Just a few awesome goodies this week, but exciting none-the-less!

I have been part of every review tour for this series since Sourcebooks first released it. I was contacted by them directly asking if I would be interested in participating in this third, and final installment. What a silly question! I of course agreed and literally received this beauty by courier the very next day. Stunning! Cannot wait to see how this ends! Look for my review tour post February 15th!

Edit: I just discovered this is not the last book and that there will be at least 2 more! Oh my!

This spicy read comes courtesy from RandomHouse Canada. It was waiting for me on my desk when I can in this snowy morning. Just the right read to heat things up!

Back in August I did a cover reveal post for a very intriguing book. I was recently approached by the author to participate in the review tour, so of course I said yes. Received this as an ebook. My review tour post will go live March 18th!

Lastly was an ebook I received for participation of an upcoming Kismet tour. My review tour post will go live February 28th!

I have not done a Stacking The Shelves post since the end of June! It's not because I haven't received any books, because believe me I have! I think I have just gotten lazy. OK, that's not true, I have been overwhelmed with work, school, and home life, and things are just now slowly starting to settle back down. I went and did some book shopping this week so I figured I would show them off a bit.

I have been very selective in what I choose from publishers now, due to my limited time, so I didn't receive anything from publishers in the last week. But I was super excited about this pair I received in December.

In addition to receiving The Lives We Lost from the publisher, I also received this spectacular package direct from the author herself.

As well as this very special one I had be DYING for which HarperCollins Canada was kind enough to send me in November.

Loving this series!

I was rejected for this one on NetGalley, but I heard such wonderful things about it that I just had to pick it up. Plus...just look at that pretty cover!

I picked this up due to really good reviews, and hoping it might help me through some of my recent depression. Plus it's a Heather's Pick!

I also saw this one and picked it up for the boy because he has become a recent fan of Doctor Who (whom he refers to as Doctor Derpy) and he is also a huge fan of anything written by Douglas Adams. So I figured it was a good choice.

Due to more Blogger related drama I took a break from the Stacking the Shelves last week. Apparently some new bloggers took advantage of book grabbing at ALA and posted a video bragging about it and Hell was unleashed again. I didn't feel like stirring the fires by posting my final pile of BEA books, so I just skipped it all together.

So this week I am only going to share my purchases and books that came directly from the publishers. The final BEA books will be added to my Goodreads list and you can look at them there if you are really interested (when I finally get around to adding them all in).

As mentioned last week, the box of doom finally arrived. I have bring the books home from work (where the box was delivered) in batches of 8-12. The box is not empty yet, so there will still be some to be posted next week!

Oh and on a side note, if FedEx offers to pack your books for you, and you are as OCD as me...don't let them. They just placed them in bags and tossed them into this giant box. I swear...

...not amused...

• Multiple staff members and authors from Spencer Hill Press who took the time to talk to me about their YA offerings and select a few titles for me to try out.

• To the friendly representative of Lorimer (sorry I didn't get your name or card!) who spoke to me about their new teen line and slipped me a "damaged" copy of an initial release to read.
• To Amir Yassai and his booth mates who did an amazing job on the marketing and promotion for his self-published book, The Life Squad (which I thoroughly look forward to reading), and speaking to me about the book, the rest of the series, and plans to get more attention for his novel.
• Author J.J. Johnson who shared with me how much she loves bloggers and she doesn't understand the reasoning behind some publishers not wanting to work with bloggers. We talked about some comments made at the Blogger's Convention about how soon bloggers and their reviews will be read and regarded more highly than critical reviews in magazines and newspapers. She was awesome!
• And a very special thank you again to Scholastic for the amazing and very unique YA Theatre presentation gathering for upcoming releases. Although I was already well aware of 2 of the books that were presented (The Raven Boys and The Infinity Ring) it was wonderful to add some new books to my must read list (Endangered and Skinny) as well as see the videos and dramatizations that accompanied them. Also a big plus for letting me shake James Dashner's hand and gush over how much my son and I both loved his Maze Runner series...yup...I'm a nerd!
