[Meme] Gwenyth's Goodies (Stacking The Shelves) - June 9th 2012

Stacking The Shelves started at Tynag's Reviews, is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

I was so very lucky to be able to attend BEA (Book Expo America) this year in New York city. I had such an amazing time! Look for multiple posts on the blog in the near future about all the events and sight-seeing that was done. It was overwhelming, but in an awesome way!

Most of the books I received over the 4 days of BEA extravaganza are currently on their way to my office via FedEx. I don't think my FedEx guy will still my friend after he has to deliver a 70 pound box of books to my desk...and I had no idea how I will get it home from there...but we will cross that bridge when we come to it!

These are the boxes of books that Nicole, Caitlyn and myself shipped...can you guess which one is mine? (Hint: I shipped the most amount of books back home...)

Here are a few shots of books as I went along the way...

Books from the BEA Blogger Convention portion and Day One at BEA.

Received from the wonderful Scholastic YA event.

Books in the goodie bag from the BEA Blogger Convention portion. As well as a cool chalkboard Kobo mug and a clip on book light.

Here are the small portion of books that made it back with me in my luggage. Most of them were all picked up the final day of BEA after already shipping the 70 pound box of doom the night before.

Autographed Copies:

Unsigned Galley Drops:

And one of the best things of all?

Signed chapter samplers of James Dashner's prequel, The Kill Order, to The Maze Runner series. The boy and I are both super excited about this book (which comes out in August). I was super lucky to have James sign a copy for each the boy and I (so he could feel special in having his own copy to cherish). Can't wait to devour this!

I guess I better get reading!

What goodies did you receive this week?

  1. I was at the Scholastic YA event and I'm sad that I didn't get to meet you.

  2. But at least we met up later in one of the autographing lines, and it was a pleasure to meet the person behind the blog that had been mentioned in a few of the Blogger Convention panels.

  3. What an amazing haul! I was invited to the Scholastic event but, alas, I couldn't make it to New York this year. Maybe next year. I hope you enjoy all of your great new reads. Have a great weekend! :-)

  6. I read some hints before leaving to take a small rollie and check it for dumping books into. Best advice ever! (That and remembering band-aids for sore toes...lol.) I usually placed the morning books in the rollie at lunch time and then took that and the totes from the afternoon back on the shuttle at the end of the day. So exhausting! (In a good way.) Thanks for stopping by!

  7. I wasn't able to attend BEA on Thursday and missed Jackson Pearce so I am majorly jealous of your signed copy of Fathomless!

  8. Sorry to hear you missed Thursday. I think it was one of my favourite days. It was a lot calmer, I actually managed to get a few of the galley drops, and the signing lines weren't too bad (except for the Maggie Curiosities one...but I was super early for that one so it was all OK!) Thanks for stopping by!

  11. Thanks Tynga for stopping by and hosting this wonderful meme.

Marie, thanks for stopping by! I am a huge Maggie fan as well (stood in line for over an hour to get her to sign the Curiosities one). You should do what I did and just start planning a year before (which would be now) and saving up your pennies. I saw everyone going last year and swore I would go this year. And I did!
