[Meme] TBR Intervention Week #6

The TBR (To Be Read) Intervention Challenge is a weekly challenge hosted by Books4JulietWhatever You Can Sill Betray and Refracted Light.

The following information is posted on Refracted Light's blog:

The goal of this challenge is to help each other (fellow readers and bloggers) manage our enormous and constantly growing TBR (To-Be-Read) List. The rules are simple and everyone is encouraged to participate. It does not force you to commit to more than what you can manage to read in a week or so, but participants are encouraged to read at least one book within a week. You are free to choose the book you want to read and commit to this challenge. You may post your entry every Saturday, at the frequency of your choice–EVERY WEEK or EVERY TWO WEEKS. However, we will sponsor this event regularly every Saturday.

Here are the rules:

1. Post the book(s) you committed to read in your last TBR Intervention post and tell us something about it. Did you finish it? Did you enjoy it or not? Post the link to your review (if you have one).

2. Post a book that you want to read and already own. Pick something that has been sitting on your shelf for too long now (6 months or longer). Commit to read the book in the next couple of days or week.

3. Grab the TBR Intervention Button and post it on your blog sidebar so you will be constantly reminded of the challenge, making it easier for you to commit. This will also encourage other readers/bloggers/visitors to join the challenge.

4. Add the link to your post in the Linky below and make sure to visit the other blogs. Comment, encourage, and spread the love to our fellow readers.

Last Week's TBR:

As promised, I did finish The Future of Us, such a quick and cute read. I enjoyed it. Look for a full review soon. I also started Crossed and should be finished it soon. I didn't get my copy of Monsters of LA until Friday, so that will be for this week!

This Week's TBR:

So...what to do this week? Obviously I am going to finish Crossed. That's step one. I finally received my copy of Lisa Morton's Monsters of L.A. so the will be next for my blog tour post on December 5th. After that I have Dead Politician Society for a blog tour post on December 9th. If after all that I still have time for more I think I will throw in either Shatter Me or Daughter of Smoke and Bone to read with the Awesome YA Bookclub Group on Goodreads.

These books are my goals for this week's TBR Intervention Challenge.

What are yours?

  1. I am looking forward to your thoughts on The Future of Us. I saw that the YA Goodreads club is reading Shatter Me and Daughter of Smoke and Bone. Hopefully I will get some time to jump into the discussions. Best of luck this week.

  2. I've seen really good reviews on the Future of Us. It's on my TBR pile too and I hope I can get a copy soon. I bought Crossed last week, but I can't get to it yet. I SO WANT SHATTER ME, I just ordered a copy. I've seen Daughter of Smoke and Bone in almost every #FF post last Friday, so I've decided to grab a copy. I don't know why I keep on ignoring that book every time I went to the bookstore last few weeks.

Obviously, my TBRIC last week wasn't successful and I'm hoping for a much better week ahead. Good luck to all of us =)

    XOXO, April

  3. Steph - I did enjoy The Future of Us...but it wasn't outstanding, just a light and fluffy read. I hope to get in at least one book for this month's club read, I am leaning more towards Daughter since the publisher sent it to me and then I can review it and kill 2 birds with 1 stone!

April - See above regarding The Future of Us. Come read Daughter with us at Goodreads!

  5. I finished up Crossed last night. It was pretty good...not as good as the first...but a decent middle series book.
