WWW Wednesday - September 7 2011

Wow it's been a while since I have posted a WWW! I have been sooooo busy! I hope you will forgive me!

Here is this week's post for WWW Wednesday, which is hosted by the lovely Should Be Reading.

• What are you currently reading?
• What did you recently finish reading?
• What do you think you’ll read next?

My responses:

What am I currently reading?

I just started Drink, Slay Love by Sarah Beth Durst this morning on my way into work. I'm less than 50 pages into it so I'm not quite sure how I feel about it...but so far I'm not super impressed.

I've also been reading But I Love Him by Amanda Grace, but I literally can only read a few pages (thankfully the chapters are short) before I have to put it down. As someone who has suffered a seriously abusive relationship this book is very hard to stomach. It is so realistic I sometimes find myself reliving certain moments from my past, and I don't enjoy that.

For school I am reading Exploring Microsoft Office 2010 Volume 1. Exciting stuff!

What did I recently finish reading?

I have finished quite a few books since my last update, but the most recent was Bloodlines by Richelle Mead, which I felt was a bit of a let down from what I was expecting. My review will be posted soon.

Just before that I finished Ashes by Ilsa J. Bick, and that one far surpassed my expectations. I actually recommend everyone rush out and read that one right now! My review for Ashes is here.

What do I think I will read next?

I'm trying hard to keep up to date with books that are to be released in the near future. I created a nice little spreadsheet to track everything. According to that I should be reading The Shadowing: Hunted by Adam Slater next. We will see how that goes though...

What are you reading?

I spent some time in an abuse shelter after my ex kicked me out of the apartment we shared and I found this book to be closest the real thing. It could have been written by so many of the women I met during my time in the shelter. I'm sorry you found yourself in a situation in which you can relate to well to the book but I do look forward to your review of it once you finish it.
