WWW Wednesday - August 3rd 2011

Here is this week's post for WWW Wednesday, which is hosted by the lovely Should Be Reading.

• What are you currently reading?
• What did you recently finish reading?
• What do you think you’ll read next?

My responses:

What am I currently reading?

The Iron Daughter by Julie Kagawa because I am trying to get caught up on the Iron Fey series so I can read the ARC NetGalley of The Iron Knight I was approved for.

Due to my slight obsession with wolves, I am also reading The Sea Wolves by Ian McAllister, a non-fiction documentation of the coastal wolves that inhabit Great Bear Rainforest in British Columbia, Canada.

I am also reading Living With Wolves by Jim and Jamie Dutcher. I watched the documentary that accompanies this book and it was amazing! It came with a CD with wolf vocalizations I have been listening to while doing my homework. I find it oddly relaxing...my German Shepherds however are not amused...

I have also been reading my textbook in preparation for my final exam...but that doesn't count...does it?

What did I recently finish reading?

The Girl of Fire and Thorns by Rae Carson, my first NetGalley ARC pick. It was really really good! I can't wait to review this. Everyone should read this book!

What do I think I will read next?

Most likely I will read The Iron Queen by Julie Kagawa next followed by the ARC NetGalley of The Iron Knight. I also still have to fit in The Golden Compass by Philip Pullman before the end of August to tie up my 2011 Summer YA Challenge. I also have an ARC NetGalley of The Poisoned House by Michael Ford waiting to be reviewed before September 1st, so that's on my immediate to be read pile as well.

What are you reading?

  1. You have read some great books! I finished The Iron Knight via NetGalley. I loved, and I mean loved it. My review was spoiler free, so you can check it out if you would like. I am looking forward to reading The Girl of Thorns and Fire.

Thanks for stopping by my blog!

  2. Nice selection! Love the wolves. :) I haven't read any of the Iron Fey books, but I keep hearing good things. Might have to put them on the list...

  5. Interesting mix! This is the second time today I've seen someone mention The Girl of Fire and Thorns. I'm going to have to look into that.

  8. Yeah I started the first one a long time ago with my son and found it weird. I guess that's why I keep putting it off...
