WWW Wednesday - July 20th 2011

Here is this week's post for WWW Wednesday, which is hosted by the lovely Should Be Reading.

• What are you currently reading?
• What did you recently finish reading?
• What do you think you’ll read next?

My responses:

What am I currently reading?

The Summoning by Kelley Armstrong for my YA Summer Challenge, and for personal pleasure because Kelley Armstrong has been a long-time favourite author of mine!

What did I recently finish reading?

Forever by Maggie Stiefvater. So sad this series has come to an end. (review coming soon).

What do I think I will read next?

I only have one more book to read for my YA Summer Challenge, and that is The Golden Compass. So I will either read that, or one of the review copy books I have received in the last 2 weeks. For some reason I'm not really looking forward to reading The Golden Compass so I might hold off on that one for a bit.

What are you reading?

  1. I don't participate in challenges, since I don't want to end up feeling stressed (to live up to the challenge), but glad to see it working for you :)

Here's my WWW Wednesdays (July 20) post!

  2. My WWW Wednesday is

I am currently reading Clash of King by George RR Martin. Loving it!

Finished reading Dead Reckoning, the most recent of the Sookie Stackhouse Novels. I was a little disappointed by it but all in all a good read. Kinda slow compared to some of the others.

and next I am going to read Naked Empire, by Terry Goodkind. Its the ninth book in the Seeker of Truth series. I have all the rest and have loved every one. Looking forward to delving into this next one :)

  3. Random - I don't generally do challenges either for the same reason, but this was only 10 books over the summer, all YA theme so I felt pretty confident in accepting it. It's going pretty well!

Supernova - All good choices! I read the newest Sookie not too long ago and it was ok. I have all the Martin books to tackle yet, just not sure where to fit them in with my reviews.

  5. I thoroughly enjoyed The Summoning, especially Derek's character. Was at a Kelley Armstrong signing a few weeks ago, and she said she really had to fight to keep Derek in the book as a less- than-sexy teen. Now everybody crushes on him. :)

  6. Very interesting BJ! I'm still at the part where the characters don't seem to know much about Derek but I had this feeling there was more to him than meets the eye! I am glad he plays a bigger part because I kind of like him and he reminds me of my brother a bit so far. Thanks for stopping by!

  10. I enjoyed the movie but I remember trying to read it aloud to my son when he was younger and I found it very awkward. I am hoping reading it to myself will be easier, but I think that's why I keep delaying it...I'm traumatized...lol.
